(OAK BROOK, Ill.) July 25, 2013–The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) has launched Radiology Select, Volume 4: Breast Cancer Screening (rsna.org/radiologyselect), which covers research relevant to breast cancer screening between 2004 and 2012 in 34 Radiology articles.

The articles, selected by Guest Editor, Constance D. Lehman, M.D., Ph.D., cover mammography performance, digital mammography, computer-aided detection, high-risk screening and other screening tools.

"Breast cancer continues to increase as a major source of morbidity and mortality around the world," Dr. Lehman said. "Imaging has played a central role in early detection, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. As new technology and new approaches continue to be developed, careful scientific investigation of these emerging applications is essential. This Radiology Select series highlights the developments in the imaging sciences both in technical developments and clinical practice."

Radiology Select, Volume 4: Breast Cancer Screening also offers new article author and guest editor commentaries, videos and educational opportunities among three formats—print, online and tablet.

The substantial educational component, available with the online edition, provides the opportunity to earn up to 15 self-assessment module (SAM) credits and 15 CME credits.

Radiology Select, Volume 4: Breast Cancer Screening is available to RSNA members and non-member individuals for a fee.
